Tina -The Tina Turner is a jukebox musical featuring the music of Tina Turner, and depicting her life from her youth in Nutbush, Tennessee, through her tumultuous relationship with Ike Turner, and come back as a rock ‘n roll star in her 40s.
Tina Turner is played in the musical by American actress Adrienne Warren. Warren made her Broadway debut in 2012 when she appeared in the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical Bring It On at the St James Theatre.
She then went on to star in Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, which saw her nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
She makes her West End debut in Tina Turner Musical and was described as an “exceptional talent” when announced by Tina Turner.
